Confessions: My Love Affair With Dominos Pizza

Yes I said it, Dominos – I LOVE DOMS and I don’t care who knows it. I am also very aware you’re judging me right now, but let me explain. After this blog post you’ll be shouting “Dom-knows how to make great pizza!” Okay, maybe you won’t go that far until you try their zza but, guarantee you’ll start chanting this after your first bite.

Okay, let’s start with a little back story shall we?

My sister’s boyfriend is THE pizza connoisseur. I thought I loved pizza, no no, THIS GUY loves pizza so he was well aware of the latest and greatest marketing promo Dominos put on last month – 50% off any size Doms for a week. A whole week!

I must admit, I’ve never, in my life, been a fan of Dominos. My go-to fast food pizza was always Panago or Pizza Hut (some of you may be screaming “what about Pizza Garden?” – that my friend is on it’s own level of superiority that I don’t even consider it fast-food). Never once did Doms make the cut, until this year.

How do you beat a 50% off deal? You don’t.

Lucky for me, Dominos is a quick 3 minute walk from my apartment.

Dangerous? Absolutely.

I ordered my large custom pizza – pepperoni, green peppers and mushrooms (obvi).  It would be ready in 9-19 minutes, I love the random accuracy of this estimated time Dominos!.

Hot Tip: You only get this 50% off deal by ordering online, you can’t order this promo in-store.

I grabbed my large pizza for $10.50 total and was on my way home to devour. I was skeptical at first, but when I opened the box, the pizza, still hot, glistened ready to be eaten. The toppings were plentiful and the cheese was melted to perfection. I sunk my teeth in and holy mother of pizza, it was delicious.

Little did I know, this pizza deal would pop up two more times this summer. I took advantage of each and every coupon and indulged in another three large Dominos pizzas.
